Just like most all fans, their purpose is to eliminate standing water from your climate, or to help put a breeze on your plants. Without proper airflow and ventilation, stagnant/wet air can be the ultimate vector for pathogens, molds and mildews. Air must be moving adequately above and below your canopy to ensure no corner of your climate is a dead space. Keep it moving!
